After social events were cleared to resume following a two-year-suspension because of the spread of the deadly Covid-19, the annual Purple Party organised by renowned media personality Douglas Lwanga returned with the regional tours in May.
Eastern Uganda was the first region to have yet another experience of this Purple themed party that doesn’t only bring celebrated local artistes to enterta revellers but also other fun things.
Thousands filled Mbale Secondary School grounds where the Eastern Uganda tour party was held, on Saturday the 7th of May.
The tour later headed to Mbarara, Western Uganda where it also thrilled thousands of attendees at Mbarara University Inn on Saturday the 3rd of September.
Though not an official tour like the above two, for the very first time, the organiser took the Purple Party experience to Soroti town on 29th of October at Cloud9 Club.
Now the regional tours are done and the grand finale which always happens in central Uganda is set for Sunday the 18th of December at Aero Beach located in Entebbe, falling on the same day as the 2022 FIFA world Cup finals.
“The December event is the final show held in central. It’s a fusion of music and soccer, winding our tours and also screening of world cup finals. We have filled venues upcountry and it is time to bring the party home. Lets go to the beach”– Said the Douglas Lwanga the party CEO.

The official headlining acts are soon being announced and the party is powered by Club, NBS TV, Coca Cola, Kadanke, Clear and Glo, Champion Bet and Galaxy FM.
