Former head of the St. Petersburg branch of headquarters Navalny (organizations are recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) and the ex-candidate for deputy of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly Irina Fatyanova left Russia. She announced this in her Telegram channel.
She called the decision made the most difficult in her life. Fatyanova has been outside Russia for more than a week. Fontanka Fatyanova said that she is now in Georgia.
“ Coming to work at the headquarters, I was ready for fines, days in a special detention center, searches and interrogations. Remember, this was once the worst side effect. At some point, my line shifted to a criminal sentence of several years (I think five). I was just ready to sit down. Never. But the story with Lilya Chanysheva changed a lot and helped me understand that I needed to leave, '', & mdash; explained Fatyanova.
On November 10, an activist and ex-coordinator of Navalny's headquarters in Ufa, Lilia Chanysheva, was sent to a pre-trial detention center in a criminal case on the creation of an extremist community. The case was initiated after the recognition in June of the structures of the opposition leader Alexei Navalny (headquarters and the Anti-Corruption Foundation (also recognized as an NGO-foreign agent)) extremist. Chanysheva was the first to be detained on it.
While the term of her detention & mdash; two months. During the court session, Chanysheva announced that she was pregnant.
Fatyanova was nominated for the deputy of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly in the single-mandate constituency number 3. The regional election commission announced the cancellation of her nomination at the end of July. They explained the decision by Fatyanova's connection with an organization recognized as extremist, because of which she, according to the law, cannot be elected to state and local government bodies. The elections took place on a single voting day in September.
At the end of August, Fatyanova announced that her apartment was being searched.
