A few weeks ago, singer Azawi, one of the hottest local rising singers who came on the music scene with her 5-track debut extended play (EP) in early 2020 boasting of songs like “Quinomino” and “Repeat It”, announced the release of her first album and her fans cannot wait.
Believed be late singer, song writer and vocalist Mowzey Radio’s ‘replacement’ in some circles because of her lyrical maturity, record label Swangz Avenue’s said that the 16-track-album, titled “African Music” will be officially out all streaming platforms on 9th October 2021 which is Uganda’s 59th Independence day
There has been and still there is hype on social media ahead of its release and going by her social media posts lately, especially about the album, Azawi promises nothing but good African Music and she also feels that she outdid herself while doing everything she had to do to put out this album with songs “My Year” and “Slow Dancing” already out.
She reveled this recently on her official Twitter account that boasts of 33.7K.

On this album, Azawi features local artistes like “Thankful” featuring singer and record producer Benon who is the co-found of Swangz Avenue, “Majje”, “Face Me”, “Nkuchekele” featuring rapper Fik Fameica, Dancehall singer A Pass and 2015 BET Award winner Eddy Kenzo respectively
She also worked with different record producer on this album like Kusseim, Nessim and Bomba. Saturday is the day her fans get to listen new “African Music” from from their artiste.
