September 1, 37,000 students of grades 1-11 will go to schools in the Zaporozhye region. Such data are provided by the director of the department of education and science of the regional administration Elena Shapurova, RIA Novosti reports.
In total, 160 schools will operate in the region, textbooks have already been delivered in full on the territory of four educational districts, namely &ndash ; 876,000 copies.
«If children who are still returning to the liberated territories come to study, schools are ready to accept them until September 15th. If they come after 15, then we will resolve the issue, – Shapurova said.
According to her, centralized hot meals will be provided in all educational institutions. Food will be delivered to schools in the northern regions, where hostilities are currently taking place.
By the beginning of the new academic year, the authorities of Zaporozhye are also expecting the arrival of 500 teachers from Russian regions, including 250 – primary school teachers.
“Schools are staffed with more than 50% teachers. We are waiting for teachers from Russia, they will arrive on the 31st, – said the director of the department.
Meanwhile, local teachers of history, geography, Russian language and literature were retrained in Crimea.
In the new academic year, children will continue to study the Ukrainian language.
“From this year, the study of the Russian language is planned in the program for five hours a week. Ukrainian as a native language is studied for three hours a week, – Elena Shapurova added.
Earlier it was reported that in the new academic year, schools in Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions will be provided with armed guards.
