Posted on April 20, 2021
On Monday, singer Lydia Jazmine shared photos of her at fellow singer Ykee Benda’s owned Mpaka Records’s premises signing a contract of a product they are bringing on the scene soon’
“God Has Been So Good To Me. Here’s To More Achievements. Something BIG Coming.. Signed & Sealed! Watch Out For This One! LJ @mpakarecords On It” She wrote as caption to the photos on her official Facebook page
On seeing the photos of her and Ykee, those who didn’t bother to read the caption spread false information that Lydia had been been signed under the record label although it wasn’t the case. She had to come out and clear the air over this matter before it went rather too far.
In her clarification, Jazmine said that her deal with Mpaka Records is not a management contract but rather an endorsement deal of a new product.
“The contract signed is a Big ENDORSEMENT Deal of a NEW PRODUCT to be revealed and launched soon. Mpaka records is the Booking Agent of the product. Also Ykee Benda is a part of the Endorsement Deal too. The Pictures Were taken during the signing process at Mpaka studios. I’m not signed under any record label, I’m still working with my team. Thank you,” read her clarification post on Facebook.
Meanwhile, talking about deals, The “Olindaki” recently was unveiled as the new brand ambassador for Radiant Cosmetics at the Mestil Hotel and Residences in Kampala.
