Reports from the Serena based station NTV, Uganda indicate that celebrated media personality Flava Tumusiime has resigned.
According to inside sources, she resigned after she failed to convince her bosses for a pay rise.
Flavia, who works at Capital FM as a presenter for the mid-morning show “AM to PM” joined NTV 5 years ago and she has been a news anchor and a co-host of the morning show.
Meanwhile, rumours and speculations on her next work station indicate that she is the right person set to replace Sheila Nduhukire who recently left NBS Television and joined the National media stores (NMS) as their public relations officer.
Nduhukire’s position at NMS was being held by former Radio West presenter Dan Kimosho, who contested for the Kazo constituency parliamentary seat 2021-2026 and won.
According to Wikipedia, Flavia Tumusiime who is married to Andrew Kabuura, also a media personality is a Ugandan actress, radio and Television host, emcee and author.
She was born in 1989 in Kampala and is the only child of Enoch Tumusiime and Christine Asiimwe, who hail from Kabale, South Western Uganda.
She attended St Theresa Kisubi for primary school, then joined Kitante Hill Secondary School for both “O” and “A” levels.
She then attended Makerere University Business School (MUBS) where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in International Business.
Tumusiime has been a television presenter since she was teenager. She started presenting on now defunct WBS TV’s “Teen’s Club”, a show she did with other teens including MC Kats for four years.
Between 2010 and 2012, she presented K-files, another program on WBS TV. Since 2011, she has presented the Guinness football challenge. It has been aired on NTV (Uganda) and ITV & KTN (Kenya).
In the same period, she has been a VJ on Channel O. She was also a presenter for Big Brother Africa in 2012.
She has many awards to her name namely the Young Achievers Award for Media and Journalism 2013, Silver Award in the best mid-morning show category at the 2013 Radio and TV Award, Teeniez role model in 2013, Buzz Teeniez Awards, Best Dressed Female Media Personality of the Year – Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards 2015 and the Best Female Radio Personality – Uganda Entertainment Awards 2016.
