In April, veteran disc jockey (DJ) Bush Baby was involved in near-fatal domestic accident that left him with a fractured left hip.
This happened while he was home washing his car when he stepped on a manhole whose cover was weak thus partially falling in. He was then rushed to International Hospital Kampala (IHK) for first aid.
After further medical consultations days after the first aid, experts confirmed to him that besides the fractured hip, he also badly injured his urethra and bladder, and the injuries couldn’t allow him to continue functioning normally. A tube was later fixed on his bladder after failure to pass urine in a normal way
The experts also told him that he needed to undergo a surgery which was going to cost him Ug Shs 15 million. Being unable to raise that money especially in these hard times, at the start of June, ailing Bush asked concerned people to stand with him in raising this money and it seems like he managed to raise it.
After undergoing a successful surgery (according to the surgeons) last week on Wednesday, he was discharged from hospital on Friday although the tube will be removed after three weeks of review.
The Dj who is in high spirits thanked God, his wife, former employers, workmates, friends and all the other people and organisations who stood with him in raising the money for the surgery.
“To be renewed, you first have to go through destruction. Glory to Divine Mercy” Tweeted Bush Baby earlier on Monday
