Uganda’s finest premium beer, Tusker Malt Lager, is set for a grand climax for the debut season of its online music property, Tusker Malt Conversessions.

The season finale will feature living legend Jose Chameleone and will premiere on Sunday March 6, on Tusker Malt Lager’s official YouTube channel.

More than two decades since breaking out on the music scene, Chameleone is arguably one of Uganda’s greatest musical talents not only historically but also in contemporary times.

Chameleone’s superstar quality has seen him grow into Uganda’s most polarising entertainment figure with his antics, lifestyle and music-making instant headlines. The star’s career has been clouded by controversy and having him put the record straight on these controversies is fodder for a grand season finale.

The first season of the Tusker Malt Conversessions has introduced the online show to the fans with a line-up of fine talents,  whose efforts will be summed up by the ‘musical godfather’, Chameleone.

The show’s popularity has soared astronomically since its inception with the last episode seeing Chameleone’s protégé, King Saha, clock in a record 120,000 YouTube views.

The show was conceptualised to provide a platform for live music performances during the Covid-19 lockdown. The country has since been restored to default entertainment settings with the ban on entertainment and gatherings lifted. With the conclusion of Season One, the show is expected to bounce back with new innovations and segments given the new liberties that come with a fully open economy and eased health restrictions.

With the show’s increasing popularity, fans of the online musical property have been asking to be a part of the show’s recording audience and this could be one of the forthcoming innovations fans can anticipate in the show’s second running.

Tusker Malt Lager has unveiled a new look with a refreshed label to stamp its position as Africa’s leading premium beer.

According to officials, while the look has been refreshed, the liquid remains the same unmistakably rich premium taste of Tusker Malt Lager.

“The new look re-echo’s TML’s position as the finest beer on the market. Expect the same premium quality of our lager that is slow brewed to give fuller flavour to our consumers,” says

Elizabeth Mutamuliza, the Premium Beers Brand Manager at UBL.
The new sleeve is premium, with a richer shade of green and Tusker’s symbolic elephant standing out in gold.

The iconic green bottle is still embossed with the Tusker name on all sides.
Tusker Malt Lager is 100% malt and brewed longer than other contemporary lagers for fuller flavour. It comes in a 330ML bottle.

“Uganda’s middle class is growing, they appreciate the finer things in life and Tusker Malt Lager is the finest beer on the market. The brand is also evolving with the times, so we have refreshed our look with a finer sleeve,” Mutamuliza adds.


Tusker Malt Lager was launched in the Kenyan market in 1996 after years as an export only brand. It was introduced in Uganda the same year.

Uganda Breweries Limited which is the home of Tusker Malt boasts of the brand’s growth over the years that has seen it retain its position at the top of the premium category of beers in the country.

Tusker’s new look bottle is now available countrywide, at a recommended retail price of UGX3,000. Other variants on the market include Tusker Lager and Tusker Lite.
