Despite the fact that some many of them have ‘big’ following, no Ugandan celebrity made it on the the latest Instagram Rich list (Africa)
The list was released this month by Hopper HQ, an Instagram scheduling, planning and analytics company based in the UK
It ranked the 100 most paid public figures on Instagram from Africa and the rest of the world
The first on the list of Africa is Egyptian and Liverpool football star Mohammed Salah, followed by Nigerian artistes Davido and Yemi Alade.
The others are Funke, Akindele Bello, Tiwa Savage, AB de Villiers, Wizkid, Mercy Johnson, Mercy Algebe, Candie, and Swaenpool among others.
The only East Africans that made it on the list are only five from Kenya, namely Azziad (28th), Anerlisa (30th), Wabosha Maxine (35th), Sharon Mundia (38th) and Silvia Njoki (45th)

On the world scene, Christiano Ronaldo still tops the highest paid celebrities with 295.9 million followers and charges USD 1,604,000 per post while Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson with 242.2 million followers charges USD 1,523,000 per post
Singer Ariana Grande has 240.2 million followers and charges USD 1,510,000 per post while Kylie Jenner has 237.6 million followers and charges $1,494,000 per post
Selena Gomez has 233.4 million followers and charges $1,468,000 per post while Kim Kardashian has 225.7 million followers and charges $1,419,000 per post
Footballer Lionel Messi has 215.7 million followers and charges $1,169,000 per post
American singer Beyonce Knowles has 182.4 million followers and charges $1,147,000 per post followed by
Justin Bieber with 176.8 million followers and $1,112,000 per post while Kendall Jenner has 167.4 million followers and $1,053,000 per post
